ABOUT
US
ISIS IP is a UK-China IP company, founded and
operated by a group of experienced system & IC
designers.
It is located in high tech develop zone of xian
city, northwest of china. There is an office in Maidenhead, west of
London.
Dr. Mingying Lu -- founder,
CTO
Mingying is a highly innovative
electronics engineer with 18 years industry experience, skilled at
developing electronics system from concept to prototype.
Mingying worked for Prof.P Denyer to create CMOS image sensor technology
in Edinburgh University and then VLSI Vision, the work recognized and
received the Queen’s Award for Technology in United Kingdom. And she
gained PhD degree in 1994.
Since 1995, Mingying worked for
Hitachi Micro System Europe as principal/consultant engineer,
specialised at SOC design, DSP algorithm and digital wireless system
design. Received Silver Prize at Technical Development Award of Hitachi
Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Department for outstanding achievement on
ASSP Module Design, 1997 and 1998.
Mingying has been working
with Chinese based design team to focus on silicon IP development since
2003 and becomes a founder of Isis IP.
Dr. Guoyu Wang -- founder,
CEO
Guoyu is an experienced analog IC
designer. He has successfully designed 14 chips over the past 18 years.
His interest includes CMOS image sensor, image processing, and DAB/DMB
system and IC design.
He has close connections with Chinese IC industry
and academia .He was CEO of Xian Create Microelectronics Design Center and
he has been professor of Xian Jiao Tong University since
1995.
Prof. Peter Denyer --
Consultant
Peter was the founder and CEO of
VISION Group plc, the Edinburgh-based creator of CMOS Image chips used
prevalently in digital cameras. VISION was a successful spin-out from his
research at the University of Edinburgh into a new image sensor
technology, using commodity CMOS silicon to sense light. This technology
has grown into the most pervasive imaging technology world-wide,
displacing incumbent CCD devices sourced from Japan. Since the invention
in the mid 1980’s, over 100M products based upon these CMOS image sensors
have been sold, ranging from optical mice to digital still
cameras.
Prior to VISION, Peter led internationally
acclaimed research at the University of Edinburgh in VLSI (chip)
design. His group was among the leading grant recipients in the University
and contributed to the success of the Department of Electrical
Engineering, which has persistently received a 5* (the highest national)
grading for its teaching and research. In 1986 he was appointed as the
University’s then youngest Professor to a position sponsored by Advent, a
leading Venture Capital house. His research has been recognised in
numerous awards, including the Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medal
and the IEEE Millennium medal. In 1998 VISION received the Queen’s Award
for Technology in further recognition of this work.
Peter
continues to hold an honorary Chair at the University of Edinburgh and
since the acquisition has become a business angel, participating in two
further University spin-outs; MicroEmissive Displays Ltd, and Rhetorical
Group plc. He continues to pursue both academic and entrepreneurial
activities.
